These organizations are all equipped to provide help for your business (that is, to provide technical assistance, in the industry jargon). Each has its own means and methods for strengthening small businesses. We often work in partnership with these organizations when we are unable to provide the technical assistance ourselves. Note that all of our clients automatically receive technical assistance directly from BiG. For other resources, including technical assistance providers and funders outside of the Austin area, we recommend the Market Texas Clearinghouse from Texas Economic Development.
- Department of Small and Minority Business Resources (DSMBR)
- DSMBR runs the Small Business Development Program (SBDP) for the City of Austin, of which BiGAUSTIN is a service provider, and manages the city's minority certification program and on-line plan room. The department hosts workshops, has an online plan room for contracts, and provides minority certification services.
